We reviewed two Kenmore canister vacuums, both are called the Progressive and both are ideal for cleaning jobs up-the-stairs. But even though they’ve got similar designs and purposes, the differences in these vacuums goes beyond just the numbers of the model.

The Kenmore Progressive 21614 is around $100 cheaper than the other and is built to get rid of pet hair from all types of surfaces. The other Progressive (model number 21714) gets up dog and cat fur, but also provides a swivel steering mechanism as well as an LED light to provide superior dirt cleanup.
